  • According to morningbrew.com, many marketers consider talk of the metaverse to be among 2021’s most overblown and least understood marketing trends.
  • In December, MarketingCharts.com reported that TikTok’s weekly usage is rising significantly. The relative newcomer to the social media party has even surpassed Instagram in one key demographic.
  • Did you know every email that violates the CAN-SPAM Act could lead to a $43,792 fine? Ouch! The FTC offers guidance for CAN-SPAM compliance.
  • GDPR violations can also lead to heavy fines. EQS Group reports that even less severe GDPR violations can earn a penalty of up to €10 million, or 2% of a company’s annual revenue. More severe violations are subject to even higher fines.

Z Vent Videos

Z Vent® Interactive Video Prototype and E-learning Videos

Video Producer Massimo Iafrate spent much of this quarter creating Z Vent video assets, including a video that offers an interactive educational experience all about the Z Vent. Users learn through virtual interaction with the device and can navigate to other educational resources through the interactive video menu. Senior Lead Graphic Designer Taylor Gibson offered art direction assistance. Experience the interactive video here.

In addition to the Z Vent interactive video, Massimo also created a series of Z Vent E-learning videos posted on our website and YouTube channel. There are ten videos that can teach Z Vent users everything they need to know to effectively operate the Z Vent. Editorial Content Manager Anne Kandra assisted with the copy. You can view the videos on our website.

HWD Social Campaign

Asia Pacific HWD Social Media Campaign

The Design and Digital teams worked together to create a successful social media campaign to promote the Hospital Wearable Defibrillator (HWD) in the Asia Pacific market. The Design Team was quite busy at the end of 2021. The team worked with the Public Safety, EMS, and Hospital markets to create three new poster-sized 2022 wall calendars. Across all markets, these calendars generated 4,904 form submissions! You can view the Public Safety, EMS, and Hospital calendars on the ZRC.

ZOLL products as cookies

A Real Treat

ZOLL customers got a real treat this year in our annual holiday card and animation, courtesy of Taylor Gibson and Alex Webb. Taylor conceived of the idea, which includes an array of cookie-shaped ZOLL devices dancing around a holiday-themed cutting board. The device cookie shapes you see were hand made by Taylor out of clay! After a photoshoot with the device cookies, Graphic Designer Alex Webb used the photos to create the card and animation. Check out the animation on our YouTube channel and enjoy the sweet taste of tradition!

Taco themed loyalty box

Public Safety Q2 Taco-themed Loyalty Box

Alex Webb also combined his talents with Copywriter/Content Editor Sarah Paratore and the Public Safety team to create an in interesting taco-themed loyalty box for select distributors. The box was a hit, including an eye-catching package design, recipes, and some very creative copy. You can see the designs on the ZRC.

MCN Updates

Our MCN Lean meetings have yielded some useful findings. We’ve learned that more background information could help MCN reviewers complete their reviews more quickly. To make the MCN review process more efficient, please provide the following details when requesting an MCN review:

  • Who requested the project?
  • Who is the target audience?
  • What is the goal of the project?
  • How will this piece be used? (Eblast, social, print, website, video, etc.)
  • What region will this piece be used in? (U.S., North America, EMEA, APAC, LATAM, global, etc.)
  • Who has reviewed this project prior to this MCN review?
  • If this is an update of an existing piece, what changed?
  • Does this project include previously approved MCN content? If so, what is the existing MCN number, and when was it approved?

InMotion logo

InMotion allows you to save your project receipts and refer to them in the future! You’ll find this useful when you reference old project requests/scopes. After a project is submitted and approved, go to your job launch workspace, select “receipt” on the right, and a PDF of your request will appear. Download and save this PDF for your records and to reference this in the future if needed. This comes in very handy for recurring projects like newsletters, loyalty boxes, holiday calendars, or any other project that comes up quarterly, annually, etc.

Tips and tricks

When testing a form, use an “@zoll.com” email address to ensure your test submission does not inadvertently flow into Salesforce.
