Approximately 16,000 pediatric patients experience sudden cardiac arrest each year in the United States, with nearly triple that number worldwide.1 Currently, the survival-to-discharge rate in the U.S. for children who suffer cardiac arrest in the hospital is about 40%.2 Clearly, there is room for improvement.
