News Releases

To initiate a news release, please contact Diane Egan, ZOLL’s Chelmsford-based public relations manager, to obtain a PR request form. All news releases must go through an executive approval process and be shared with Asahi Kasei.

 

If an outside third party such as a customer, survivor, or partner is mentioned in the news release, ZOLL® must obtain their permission before the release is distributed.

 

Two weeks is generally required for approval on a news release.

 

Speaking to the Media

The presidents or heads of our subsidiaries are authorized to conduct interviews on behalf of the company. These individuals include CEO Rick Packer, Jonathan Rennert, Jason Whiting, Alex Moghadam, James Palazzolo, and Mike Black.

News Tips

If you hear good news about ZOLL, please share it with Diane Egan.

 

Business Wire Distribution

Most product-specific and trade show releases are distributed only to trade publications. However, if a news release may appeal to a broader audience, ZOLL may elect to release it to all types of business and mainstream media outlets.

 

Domestic and International Media Databases

ZOLL PR has the ability to customize media databases specific to geographic locations and create personalized cover notes to individual reporters. Contact ZOLL PR if you wish to have access to this program.

 

Monitoring Services

ZOLL subscribes to a number of services to monitor TV, print services, online coverage, and social media posts. However, none of these services are infallible. If you see or hear something of interest, let Diane Egan know.

 

Customer Field Support

ZOLL PR is frequently asked to help customers with their own publicity efforts — for example, helping to organize a media event, developing a news release, obtaining a quote from one of our executives, or assisting with product messaging.

 

Permissions

We frequently receive requests from outside parties to use ZOLL materials (such as images, logo, text, and product descriptions) in books, on websites, etc. All requests to use ZOLL materials require a signed permission form.

 

Movie and TV Productions

ZOLL occasionally receives requests for our products from movie and TV productions. Producers must sign our letter of agreement, including our terms for using the equipment, and provide a certificate of insurance to cover the cost of equipment in the event of loss or damage.

 

Crisis Communication

A crisis is any event that might have a negative impact on business, from a product recall to a workplace altercation or fire.

 

ZOLL PR has developed a crisis communication plan that outlines the protocols that need to be taken in addressing the situation and keeping ZOLL’s reputation intact.
